Respeto is a collaborative, community-driven, biweekly seminar salon on Spanish language and Hispanx culture.
Learning Spanish in the United States today is an act of resistance against racism, xenophobia, and authoritarianism; as well as an expression of solidarity with oppressed immigrant populations and Hispanx communities.
Respeto promotes learning the Spanish language and exploring the cultures of Hispanx peoples in relaxed and fun bi-weekly social gatherings.
Respeto is a pilot project to develop a model that can be spread throughout the United States.
Respeto was conceived by David W Halsell and realized by Ximena Arbelaez, Sarah Leland, Anne Sivley, Brad Muller, Aiken Muller, and David W Halsell.
